News

July 2010:

It didn't quite work out updating the news section more regulary as I promised in April. Lots of stuff to do.

At last I've finished the third Modern Meditations production. Not too happy with the end result as the label decided to shift the stylistic approach, going from a more production oriented style to a performance based approach. I would have feldt somewhat uncomfortable creating performance based tracks on piano, but it was even worse when it's guitar we're talking about. I can't play guitar, and I never will - there are too many strings too close together for me.

It is still not yet decided whether or not I'm moving on with the fourth Modern Meditation production I was set out to do. Lets see what they have in store.

Now I'm going on a nice and well earned vacation, and when I get back I will continue finishing off the Galleon album adding some missing keyboards. At last I'll get to play keyboard again.

Have a nice summer!

April 2010:

Long time since I published any news, but I've been incredibly busy producing music. Not only continuing the Modern Meditations series, but also finishing off the last tuoches on the new Galleon album "In the wake of the Moon. I'm also hired by a Danish artist to produce one song for him. Signed a couple of mysterious/horror tracks for a US east coast library. So there's a lot going on. Will try to update the news section a little bit more often hereinafter.

September/October 2009:

I can finally reveal the name of the record company I've been working with for the last year. CMH  Records label group have re-invented the New Age meditations genre by making it more exciting and organic through their Modern Meditations label.

Yes, it was in October last year that I started working on a couple of songs which eventually lead to me working on a couple of albums. The two I've already completed is going to be released November 17, but is already available for pre-ordering. You can find a link to their website in my links section, so please go there and read all about it! I'm currently in the works of recording more of these compilations and will continue to do so presumably throughout the year.

As this is taking up very much of my time, there is little left for other ongoing productions, however in Galleon we are making a slow progress in finishing our next album, which is going to be something else...

July and August 2009:

These two months have been quite a relentless period of time, busy recording the new meditation album while also suffering from some health issues.

I set out to create this album in only one month, but now it's three months and I'm still not done. In short - it's been an ordeal.

I'm in the works of making the last(?) touches of the mixes and hopefully I will have it completed by the second week in September.

May and June 2009:

The meditation album is now finished, and is currently with the company for Mastering. I have not yet received any information on when they plan to release it but I will keep you posted as soon as I know.

A second album is in the works, - This time a meditation cover album of one of the most fabulous bands in the world. So far I have recorded 9 out of 11 songs and started to rework as and when I get feedback from the label.

I have also signed 7 songs with a UK music library. That makes it a total of 15 songs I have signed with this  music library.

March and April 2009:

Yes, still working on the meditation songs, or at least some of them. Most of the songs have already been approved, there's just a few that are in need of some minor adjustements.

The Galleon production is as usual very slowly progressing, and we don't think there will be any release until this autumn. But we are well on the way.

I also did a remix of a song by Imogen Heap which she donated to a twestival charity project. Visit the twestival page and listen to all the remixes of the song as you can manage. there are in this moment of writing 537 (!) versions uploaded. My version is number 339 in the playerlist. I did this just for fun, and because she is one of my favourite singers/composers/producers.

January and February 2009:

I’ve been working around the clock for the last two months producing an exciting New Age meditation album for a US label. In order to complete this production I had to refresh my already limited guitar playing ability, which was kind of interesting and fun.

My other production commitments had to take a step back while I was doing this, so now I also need to finish these.

Immidiately after the meditation album I continued with editing some solo piano tracks for a UK music library.

I am also about to sign a contract with another US music library for a couple of my horror tracks I did last year.

December 2008:

Finally I am able to let you preview a lot more of my music using the streaming player which you can find on the music page.

As you may have noticed I am a little behind on the news updating. I apologize for that, but both Octoberand November have been very busy, with three productions going on at the same time. I even missed updating on the 1 yearanniversary of this site. But I think I'm excused by presenting the new player.

First off, I am recording a couple of tracks for a well established Swedish artist who is going to release an album hopefully sometime next year.

Secondly, we have started the recording of the ninth fullength Galleon album for a possible release sometime early in 2009.

The third production is for a label in Los Angeles, who hired me to produce two songs. These productions were very well received, so they asked me to produce a whole album. There’s nothing in writing for it yet, but probably I will start working on it early next year.

One of the Music Librarys I have songs signed to are making a compilation for MTV. Whether or not any of my songs are selected to be aired is not clear yet, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

I've also signed a couple of my Action tracks to a Library in the UK. The same library signed one of my New Age tracks in the "world" genre to their catalogue.

I wish all who have visited this site this year happy holidays and a wonderful Happy New Year!

September 2008:

This month I really just been creating more music for Galleon. I have a lot of ideas and we have started rehearsing a couple of them and I think they will turn out nice after everybody else in the band have been pitching in their ideas. I have also been contacted by a prominent independent record company in Los Angeles saying they liked my submissions for a pitch I made earlier this year. They have approached me with some ideas, and I will start working on them come October. I'll keep the news section updated when I know a little bit more.

August 2008:

I have been busy creating more horror music for Film/TV opportunities and I really have had a blast doing it. Eventually some of these tracks lead to some modifications in order to fit the music of Galleon, so in the next upcoming album you will find some of these in a progressive rock style.

July 2008:

So, this month I’ve been able to create 12 new tracks for four different opportunities. The first set is three tracks for a movie wanting music along the lines of American Beauty, The Sixth Sense, and The Fifth Element. As the music in these movies are quite different in style, it was a real challenge to create them, but it turned out alright and they were accepted. If they’ll ever end up in the movie is quite another story though. One of the tracks, “Aerial Device” is uploaded on myspace.com

The second batch are a couple of high suspense tracks, and they are still pending for review. You can listen to one of these tracks, “Woodland Creatures” on songbox.se

Third batch is music for TV series like “Unsolved Mysteries” and have just been sent in for review. You can hear two tracks on myspace.com The tracks are called “Oblique Shadows”, and “Rendevouz Drive”.

The fourth set of tracks is haunting, suspense music. The track "Black Lake" can be found on songbox.se

June 2008:

I haven't been writing any news for acouple of months as I've been very busy working. I have created some new New Age tracks, and finishing off the 80's eras songs. I've also made some Chillout Electronica tracks and all of these were very well received. Now I can only wait and see if they get selected. It's a slow business and patience is a virtue.

I'm not going to slow down for the summer as I've been asked to produce some songs for a well established Swedish act. But more on that later.

March 2008:

I've been working very hard this last three months. Either in creating or editing at a minimum of 3-4 hours a day. I feel as though this time is paying off in terms of how fast I can detect and correct things that doesn't sound that great. Unfortunately things seems to be moving very slow in this industry at the moment, so it's hard to really confirm if it's only an assumption, or reality.

Now I have three emulated 80's era tracks, another three cinematic movement action tracks, and a kind of sinister/evil sounding hiphop track ready for submission this month.

There are other things in the pipe, of which I cannot reveal any details yet. Stay tuned.

February 2008:

Somebody wants material for an indenpendent film about the eighties. So I have dug out all old garbage harware from the closet and started re-exploring the dark ages.

I've Been polishing up some songs I aim to submit to different opportunities coming up in Feb-March.

The opportunities covers genres, like World Music, New Age, Hi energy action, and electronica.

January 2008:

A new year is here! New opportunities!

A new set of Action/suspense tracks are created for another library opportunity. I have also been working a lot on creating some New Age tracks.

The remixing of the UK library tracks are completed and submitted.

December 2007:

This page is born.

All piano solo tracks are now completed. You can hear some previews in the Music section.

I'm also in the works of remixing soundbed tracks for a Brittish music library

November 2007:

Signed a contract for three songs with another LA based Music Library.
